We have also planned ad hoc routes for organised groups in which safety, culture and excitement
will give quality time of interest and participation.
We will visit antient rome quarries and ones in progress, appreciating the marble by touch
and seeing the carvers at work.
It will be possible to arrange museum, city and workshop visits upon request. 

  • Quarry tour
    One hour an half tour

    The meeting with your bus or car at the info point in Viale XX Settembre near the soccer stadium.
    The quarry can be reached by all sorts of coaches with the possibility to park just right under the quarry n° 177.. 
    The tour is essentially divided into two parts. In the first one we will talk about the history of marble from the ancient romans to the half of the last century. While walking inside the extracting heart we will be able to observe and analyze the new cutting tecniques, machineries and interact with the sorrounding enviroment. 

    The tour price is 6,00 € per person, 5,00 € for students. Including guide.
    Tour time from the apartment: 1 hour an half. 

  • Quarry tour + Carrara
    Three hours tour

    In addition to the quarry tour we will take you for a visit to the centre of Carrara.
    Walk through medieval alleys and renaissance squares, observe the academy of fine arts and enter the beautiful millenial cathedral.

    Quarry tour + 80,00 guide service. Tour time from the apartment: 3 hours.

  • Quarry tour + marble museum
    Three hours tour

    In addition to the quarry tour we will take you to the marble museum in order to futher tell you more about the subject. You will have the possibility to see wonderful black and white films about ancient times, objects and utensils used during the roman and the subsequent period, plastic models and above all, a very rich collection of all the types of white marble extracted from Carrara, stones,granites and marbles from all over the world.                         

    You will have the possibility to include the tour with a taste of lardo of Colonnata and/or a typical products lunch.

    Price: Quarry and marble museum entrance (2,00€ for students, 3€ for adults) + 80,00 €.
    Tour time about 3 hours from the apartment.
